Those of you who read Fark and/or Slashdot are probably familiar with Gauss Rifles and Rail Guns. This isn't as cool as some of them, but today a coworker and I built the one from http://sci-toys.com/scitoys/scitoys/magnets/gauss.html

This isn't really relevant to RimuHosting (although fanehenderson.com is running on my VPS), but I thought some of you might find it interesting/fun. And no one uses the 'chatter' forum, so my risk of upseting someone is minimal.
Tomorrow we're hoping to double the length of the rail gun, thereby increasing its power. We're also planning a bunch of other nifty science experiments in the future that I will be posting on my blog.
