Hi,

I was wondering if its possible for us to use a distro other than those provided here. the distro i'm intrested is archlinux (http://www.archlinux.org) it's a very simple distro which is very easy to maintain. its the distro i use at home so i'm much more experianced with it than other distros.

the archlinux installer supports custom kernels so if the kernel is the only special thing which is needed for it to run in a virutal host then it might not be so difficult to get it working.

would this be possible?

thnks

Hi.

We focus our support and energies on providing a couple of main distro choices (RHEL4 and Debian). We can work hard to setup these distros so they work well with our VPSs. e.g. tweaking memory-related settings.

Focussing on these distros also enables us to provide better support because a) we are more familiar with the setup and b) because any problems that do crop up we will know about in any future occurances of the problem.

If you feel confident that you would be able to take one of our standard distros (e.g. Debian) and convert it to archlinux and then be able to support your own setup then that may be a good option for you.
