im new to linux and recently tried installing ruby on rails. i screwed it up somehow and want to start over from scratch, so i want to remove ruby, and i'm not certain how i can do that. i installed 1.8.4 from the tar.gz as well as rubygems. is there an easy way to remove it from my server completely?
thanks

reverse your setup order? Remove files you installed? Most locally installed programs pop themselves under /usr/local. So try find /usr/local/ | grep ruby
If you get stuck, pop in a ticket and we'll see how best we can help.
The last time I tested it the setup.sh script at http://bliki.rimuhosting.com/space/knowledgebase/linux/miscapplications/ruby+on+rails installed ruby on rails with a single copy/paste on a rhel4 distro.
