Storing Crecit Card info on the server ...

I just realised that Rimuhosting is storing my credit card info with them...

Beside wanting to know that it's stored in securely maner for my own peace of mind - I would like to know how it's stored. Process, technology ...etc.

Any hint - such as URL's of articles, tutorials or regulations on that subject would be of great help.

I need that info for my disertation project, which is just one exam away.

BTW. I heard lot's of different answers on this before from other forums and mailing lists - by nothing that is used for real. Just a bunch of "If I were to store CC info, I would do it XYZ way".

I realize you posted this message above months ago, but you ARE kidding, right? It would be foolish to publish precisely how and where credit card data is stored -- unless your objective is to make the data LESS secure. I assume Peter responded to you via private e-mail if at all. Except for stating a privacy policy, it would be irresponsible to give chapter and verse on credit card data in a user forum.
