My users have been getting alot of spam lately. There's no way i can block out every single domain the spammers use. What can I do about this?

I'm using sendmail.

Thanks!

You can try some server-side anti-spam software. e.g. spamassassin or dspam. If you hit any problems installing one of these, just pop in a support ticket and we can often help.

We've spamassassin running on our server, but I've noticed in recent weeks that a lot of spam is getting through. So looks like the spammers have found a way of writing their emails so they don't get caught by the spamassassin rules

You can also try greylisting if you aren't already using it. The software which implements greylisting for sendmail is called milter-greylist (http://hcpnet.free.fr/milter-greylist/).

You didn't give details about your setup, but procmail to bogofilter is a fair amount less resource intensive than spamassassin, I believe. It involves training, but I find it pretty quick to respond to spammers' evolving tactics.

This looks very useful, but how do I decide which rules to add to my trusted rules list?
