Peter, I would be interested in your thoughts on this development. Do you feel one way or the other -- positive, negative, or inconsequential?

Personally, I'm not developing on JBoss any more. I found myself spending way too much time learning JBoss/J2EE and less and less time writing code that actually does something 'useful'. I find Tomcat with JNDI and Data Sources is about the right amount of J2EE for me now.

As far as hosting goes though, we still provide hosting for many, many JBoss users. So I want JBoss to be as easy to install, configure and run on Linux as possible. I can only see RedHat's involvement there helping things.
