When RimuHosting get a new VPS order we set it up on a 'base' filesystem. We then run a set of commands to tweak the filesystem. For example, your IP settings. Some times we also need to make corrections or changes to the base filesystem. e.g. to add or remove packages. Or to tweak settings.
After we setup your VPS we may make changes to our standard setup scripts. We have added an 'errata' link to each VPS page in the RimuHosting control panel (http://rimuhosting.com/cp). It shows you what those changes are. You may wish to apply the changes we have added after your VPS was setup (or at least see what they were). You can check where you are current to by checking the contents of your /etc/rimuhosting-release file.
