Hi. We are adding support so you can 'console' to your VPS. Essentially you will ssh to a user account on the host server and be attached to the screen command running your VPS. You'll get a regular login prompt.

This will be useful if you lock yourself out of your VPS with iptable rules. (Since the network on the VPS does not need to be running in order for the console to work).

It will also be useful if your VPS get's stuck during boot up. e.g. every now and then a VPS will run an fsck after a reboot and sit awaiting user input.

If you'd like to try this out, pop in a support ticket (http://rimuhosting.com/ticket/startticket.jsp). We'll need a username (alphanumeric, <8 chars), and a password. We will stop and restart your VPS then send you instructions on logging into the server.

After the beta trial period we'll be adding functionality to the control panel to enable/disable console access to your VPS (without you having to pop in a support ticket).
