Something very mysterious started happening just a few hours ago. Basically it would appear that port 25 on my server is now unreachable. It appears to "drop" packets sent to port 25, even though my firewall is specifically set to accept such packets.
I've restarted the firewall and sendmail, to no avail. sendmail does not give me any error messages.
I can't imagine why this would happen at this time, since I haven't changed the sendmail conf file in many months, and things were running quite well previously.
Has this happened to anyone else? How did you manage to solve the problem?
